The oldest surviving motor garage in Glasgow

 and possibly in the UK.

Built between 1906 - 1912

it has a distinctive facade

 of green and white glazed terracotta tiles.

It is a category "A" listed building.

The building was completed in 1876.
It is modelled on the 
Sainte-Chapelle in Paris.
 The church is a Category A 
listed building.





The "Curlers" restaurant in Byres Road
 

The Curlers Rest,


formerly the Curlers Tavern,


is the oldest drinking establishment


on Byres Road.

A tavern is said to have been at this site


since the 17th century,


when this part of the city


was still countryside.
